How Do I Get Started?

After seeing the demonstration and reviewing the license agreement, most clients want to know what to do next and how long it will take to get their data loaded and first set of reports run.

The key to a smooth startup is knowing what types of transactions you will be reporting, where the data elements that apply to them are located in your internal systems, and how you want to load them into the database.

Installation Support Services

Your license agreement provides you with installation services support. When you begin to load your database, you'll receive a Getting Started guide that describes the available input formats, product code information, and transaction types that you'll need to consider when setting up your database.

The team can work with you to map complicated handoff transactions to determine when your Designate & Track reporting requirements begin and end to make sure you have included all the required reports.

Data Input

Once you've identified where your source data is coming from, you will choose how you want to get it into the database. The system accepts most standard file types for clients who want to automate the process, or you can opt to use manual data entry.

For clients who use our PaceCTR-D™ system for accumulating production and shipment data for refineries, there is an automated interface to allow you to enter data into PaceCTR-D™ and have it automatically populate your DieselTrakker™ data file.

How Long Will It Take?

The amount of time required for an install depends on whether you already have your data elements ready to load and have all your transactions identifed.

Users whose data files don't require a pre-processor (which may be needed for SAP records extracts) are usually up and running in 2 weeks or less.
