Entity License

Our licenses/access agreements are priced on an entity basis - a licensed entity may access the system from multiple locations and use the software for multiple facilities. A company that consists of more than one EPA registered "entity" may qualify for a single license, as in the case of a company which has its refineries and logistics businesses in separate corporations. These licenses will be quoted on request.

The use of an entity license eliminates the need to monitor the number of users using the system at any given time and frees you from concern around projecting costs on a "per transaction" basis.

Price Basis

A license allows an entity to access the system for a year. The first year cost includes installation support to get your information into the database, and technical support, as well as any upgrades or revisions required to handle your distillate fuels compliance reporting if the regulations change.

Your fee also includes the cost of web hosting - servers, operating systems, database backup, and other services to keep the application online. No need to acquire additional hardware or software licenses to use the application.


Technical Specifications

The Client accesses the DieselTrakker™ system using the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser. The application resides on a Microsoft server running Internet Information Services Version 6 (IIS6) and is based on ASP.NET 2.0. The interface screens are designed to be "thin" - for rapid data input and transaction processing. The system has been designed to handle high volumes of transactions. Records batches containing in excess of 100,000 transactions have been posted successfully.

The Client's data is collected and stored in Microsoft SQL Server, Version 2005. This program can receive data in TXT and CSV formats, and XML is planned for the future. EPA report data is generated in Comma Separate Values (CSV), which is compatible with requirements for electronic filing. Since CSV output to the browser integrates with Microsoft Excel™ easily, we generate additional reporting in the same manner. This aids users in retrieving data for reconciliation and other needs.

The CrossTrak™ system provides web services that are used to confirm transactions between industry partners running DieselTrakker™.
